All NDAR Members Urged to Attend Grassroots Training for Measure 2

All NDAR Members are urged to attend one of two Grassroots Training sessions to understand how to help to ensure passage of Measure 2, the ballot measure sponsored by NDAR on the Nov. 4 ballot which adds a section to the ND Constitution to prohibit a property transfer tax.

 

A session will be held for members in the eastern half of the state in Fargo on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 10:00 a.m.-noon at the Hilton Garden Inn, 4351 17th Avenue South and for members in the western half of the state in Bismarck on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel, 800 South 3rd Street.

 

Nancy R. Willis, NDAR Government Affairs Director will provide a history and overview of the ballot measure and detail campaign activities being conducted to ensure the ballot measure passes; Odney staff will provide training on using the brochure, power point and talking points to advocate on behalf of the measure and Nick Bokone, REALTOR® Party, Cornerstone Solutions consultant, will describe effective grassroots campaigns and the steps attendees can take to ensure success.

Good Neighbor Award

Are you a “GOOD” Neighbor or do you know of another REALTOR® who is?? Deadline to nominate a REALTOR® for the Good Neighbor Award is August 20. This is the third year for this award and your help in recognizing that REALTOR® who goes beyond in helping their community would be greatly appreciated. Let’s give them the recognition they deserve. The NDAR Good Neighbor Award is to recognize North Dakota’s REALTORS® for their efforts in community and charitable service in helping to make their communities a better place for all citizens. CRITERIA FOR NOMINEES

Must be a REALTOR® member in good standing

Must be a primary member of the North Dakota Association of REALTORS®

Service must be a non-business endeavor

Award recipient may win only once in a lifetime

Nominee shall be recognized primarily for service contributions

Award recipient shall not be a full-time employee of the charity or be compensated for any work or service

Some portion of the nominee’s community work must have taken place during the previous year

REALTOR® may nominate themselves or may be nominated by another NDAR member, state or local association or the community organization they serve.
